Services Offered By Lartamax Labradors
At Lartamax Labradors we pride ourselves in producing healthy labrador pups. We may not be the biggest kennel in Ireland but then that is not our aim. We are a family kennel breeding only the occasional litter of labrador pups usually when we wish to add to our own kennels. Smaller family run hobby kennels are among some of the most succesful as we are dealing with smaller numbers and can spend time with each and every pup to ensure it gets the individual attention it deserves.
We will help guide you in choosing a pup to best suit your needs and take pride in providing a full follow up service after the sale of our pups.
Every pup leaves with 6wks free health insurance and in the very unlikely event of any problems an option to return for full refund or exchange depending on availability of pups should you bring your pup to your own vet within our agreed time scale and be unhappy with any health issue your vet may discover.
Every pup leaves with basic training advice in the form of handouts and we provide additional advice if needed.
We will also advise on worming, exercise, toilet training, getting your pup used to travelling, used to water and many other issues you may need advice on.
All our dogs are fully health screened and we only breed from stud dogs that are of the same high standards.
All our dogs meet with the Kennel Club health recomendations including hip scores and eye tests.
Hip Dysplasia is a major issue with many breeds and labradors are no exception. As this condition is due to many factors such as genetics, environmental and feeding it is to a large extent outside the control of the breeder and guarantees can not be given on pups not developing this condition. However as a breeder we do guarantee we only breed from hip scored parents with excellent hip scores to reduce any genetic factors to an absolute minimum. We only feed the best of food to our adults and pups and each pup is individually examined by our vet before leaving for its new home.
We will be more than happy to provide advice on feeding and exercise but can not be responsible for a dog that once taken from us is not fed a quality diet, is overweight and or over exercised before full joint development. There is a responsibility on owners to ensure they take every step to prevent this problem developing due to factors they do have control over. Please ask for advice and for further information read our guide on Hip Dysplasia in the health section of our web site.
