PIV is the highest legal level of certification in verifying that the dog swabbed is the dog that is listed on the e-form submitted. A licensed veterinarian authenticates the identification of a Labrador by scanning a microchip or reading a tattoo and matching it to the paper e-form for that dog. He then signs a form that testifies that he has carefully checked the identity of the dog based on a permanent identification.
Belle is a super female with lots of drive, always willing to work and very keen to please she joined us just before her 5th birthday. Her temperment is excellent and she works well to gun. Belle is equally keen to retrieve
both game and dummies on both land or in water.
Belle is trained to at least gundog level 3. This includes on and off lead heel work, Sit & Stay for 4 minutes which is tested with a variety of distractions and part of which is done with the handler out of sight.
Belle must complete a stop to whistle at distance and complete marked retrieves at 100yds. Blind retrieves at 30yds and respond to both whistle and hand signals.
A water retrieve of at least at 50yds.
Belle has also worked as a picking up dog for several seasons and really loves her work.

I must at this point say a big thank you to Keith Matthews and Copperbirch Kennels for letting me have Belle as my first working dog. I must aslo acknowledge that her training had been done by Keith during her time with him and I can't take credit for her high standards of performance.
We have taken 1 litter from Belle and kept back Molly as our first home bred working dog.
Belle has since been spayed will have no further litters and will enjoy the rest of her days doing what she loves best working in the field.
